Hello from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Just stumbled across this board. I am a retired Calgary City Police officer. I retired after 30 years + due to ill health. Not doing to badly now and I miss police work greatly. I build models mostly police equipment and some vintage cars. I collect police memorabilia and volunteer at the police museum. I drive a restored 57 Cadillac Fleetwood.
Welcome to the forum. There's quite a few members who are from Canada so you should feel right at home.
A 57 Fleetwood. You gotta post some pics. I don't think I've ever seen a wagon version. Welcome aboard. There's a few guys with Caddy Hearses, but with you on board, we may just get more vintage caddy members.
Hello A 57 Fleetwood you "claim"......Well officer, your in our jail now! You have 24 hours to provide a picture of the "alleged" 57 or you will be charged with...... to the forums......a different type of drunk tank
He didn't say it was a wagon, now did he? And I never assumed it was. Which is why I said that a law enforcement officer should be looking for 1A2, which is a police version b-body. Do I have explain everything....?
He did'nt have to say....I like old cars, I want to see the Fleetwood At least tell us what colour it is...this is cruel and unusual punishment
Welcome to the forum. Don't feel bad about not being able to work because of an illness. I have been out of work since 05 due to migraines. I miss my job too. I have been having increasing dreams about me working lately. Just try to keep busy and from going crazy.
You are not alone in the "loved my job but can't do it any more" field. I'm another who cratered at work and that's it for me. So I putter in the yard, shop, with the cars and when my wife is off she helps out. So doe my buddies when I need a hand, so the life isn't too bad. Not what I'd expected it to be at all, but at least we are not stuck in beds all the time and if you can get up and walk and breathe on your own, then life can still be pretty goshed darned good. Finding motivational forums like this one helps too. I see what others are doing with their cars and it gets me rolling again. There are a lot of others on here just like us so glad you found the forum.
