I've owned my 64 Falcon wagon for nearly 12 years. Dad and I picked it up when I was 17. We put some money into it to get it road worthy so I could drive it to school and back. Working on it ever since. I joined the Army shortly after that, stationed in Alaska, Texas, and now California. I'm currently working on my 3rd deployment and just finished up my R&R in Tucson, Az. Ford built this one with factory V8, 2 speed auto and P/S. Upgrades include a T-5z, IRS out of a 95 T-bird, Dual TBI's w/LS2 coils powered by a MegaSquirt2 ECU. 4 wheel disk brakes. Had N20 hooked up until a few days ago before the TBI's. Later Ryan
Welcome to the forum, Ryan. Wow - lots of neat mods on that Falcon. Got some Falcon afficionados here. We'd love to see some pics of your machine..... ........................... Edit: Never mind. You've found the garage already. My bad......... Very cool - especially in the motor department.
Some mods? Kind of an understatement. But all will be forgiven after you do a thread on your megasquirt conversion complete with pics.
Thanks guys. Don't have any pics of the Megasquirt conversion but I can draw it all out for you. The documentation for building and installing into nay non-efi and previous efi cars is there on the megasquirt websites but I can do a better break down of my install. I just made it back into Kuwait a few hours ago but still need to get to the camp I'm based out of. Give me a day and I'll see if I can gather my thoughts and can come up with something. Is there any Electrical Engineer or Computer Science guys in the group? Once this deployment is up I'm going to get out and go to ITT Tech in Tucson for EE and some CS. I'm looking for different opinions on what paths to take and trends to look for when job hunting in those fields. With more money and some time I bet I could get this thing flying! Thanks Ryan
another Falcon junky???......sweeet:banana: I havent looked at your pics yet....but im sure looking forward to seeing the IRS convert !! I own a few Falcon s/ws and a Comet s/ws.... ...so Im biased when I say... 'stay outa harms way'... to our garage !!
First off let me thank you for your service. It is greatly appreciated. I too am doing a Megasquirt which is the reason I wanted to know. It's always easier to talk to someone who has done it as they can tell you things that don't come up on websites or install directions. Take your time getting adjusted
I found this one hidden in my pictures. This was the final state before fitting it into the wagon. Little easier on the eyes then when it's in the car.
