I like wagons, just haven't owned many. Would like to find a good Volvo 240 wagon, mid-early '80s I guess. I like the boxy look, plus they make swap kits for 350 GM or 302 Ford engines:yup:. Also wouldn't mind a '78-83 Malibu wagon, to go with my 2dr:).

32MPG....Yeah, whats up with that and I bet you had great power also?

I have never been bothered to figure out or care about gas millage but have owned a couple early 80's 302s and they did'nt use fuil it seemed. My Dad owned a 87 T-Bird with the HO 5.0, I can't remember what he said but he kept gas millage records and his Bird was freeken fast and his low gas consumtion was almost unbeliveable low.

Yeah did a trip with it. A 5 hour drive and it hardly took any gas. Recorded the miles when I did the trip and the fills on gas before and after destination. Had a chart to help calculate. It came out to 32 and yes that car flew. I got a ticket when I got on the highway once. I did not realise I was up to 80 MPH in such a short time, it rode so smooth.
Then the divorce and the ex had the car. In a short time she trashed the car. The fuel mileage tanked on it. She burnt out the rack and pinion and broke struts. . 3 years later it wound up in a wrecking yard she drove into the ground.

On another note my 78 Plymouth Fury got 28 mpg with a 360 engine. I got this car when going through the divorce. I was on the **** end at first through the divorce and had no coin to keep the maintenace. The heater went and it got a knock in the engine that was rebuilt. That shop would not honor it warrenty because they did not install the engine in the car. Found the oil pump was gone and all goughed up as was the crank. their fault yet would stand up to their warrenty.
So I stripped the car down and sold the parts off.
At that time I had no place to keep the cars. Today I do.
