I know it. I agree. Now days, most cars all seem to be optioned the same, as you have to get 10 options to get one. You cant get them individually anymore. All about money I guess.... they want to charge you more. These days though, it seems like most stuff that was optional on many cars back in the 60s and 70s is pretty much standard now, but there are some instances where that is not the case. Now the options on new cars are all of those really fancy hi-tech gadgets. :)

I'm wondering if a T-Top from a late '70's Thunderbird would fit the '85 Country Squire. The roof line looks identical to the '79 Thunderbird.

I almost bid on a complete T-Top set up for a '79 Thunderbird on eBay, went real cheap but the shipping the guy was asking was ridiculous so I passed. Might not ever find another one too, oh well!

    Clark wants a sunroof! :thumbs2:

    Don't do it man!

T-Tops are troublsome. Just have a power moonroof installed instead.

I had one installed in my 1974 Eldorado hardtop many years ago. Just make sure it is a larger size to look right on the wagon. Plus ask if it has a black or chrome molding around it. They may have to scrounge around for a chrome one.

Expect to pay over a grand for one to be installed though. And find a reputable shop to do it. Someone who handles ASC or E&G classics accessories.

Clark didn't think about the window channels, they are completely different than a Thunderbird, Thunderbird doesn't have the metal window surround.

Would be a cool conversion! Duh! :banghead3:
