Amp....My problem is I won't get the car till late because the owner works till around 4:40. Then I will leave and drive awhile tomorrow night which will put me OUT of Ohio. I would really LIKE to do it with the paper plate and leave these at home but I don't see how it can work???

Good luck with everything Silverfox. I don't know about you but I would not be able to sleep, just like a 7 year old before Christmas. Have a safe flight there and a safe drive back to your home.

Well...wagnut is right. I can't sleep. But it isn't because I'm excited....it's because I'm worried. The seller said he would let me know today what time he would be home from work so Jeff and I would know what time to be there but he never contacted me and hasn't answered 4 emails from me. The guy was telling me earlier that he hoped I was going to take care of the car because he and his son worked hard on it and were sad to see it go. Then he had a bunch of questions about what I was going to do to it etc, etc. After that I have been unable to reach him even after he told me he would let me know today what time he would be home. I'm sitting here with confirmed reservations and ready to leave in 4 hours and I'm real nervous that this guy may try to renege. I better not go to all this trouble and expense and get screwed AGAIN like the NY deal!! I emailed Jeff and asked him to try and contact the seller by phone while I am in transit. Haven't heard back from Jeff yet regarding that. Now I sit and worry until I get there to find out what's up. If this guy tries to pull a fast one....I'll tell you....my patience is at an end with people thinking they can screw over the Fox. Maybe they think I'm too old. If they only knew.....
I will have Jeff let you all know what happens here in the forum.

    Bad Feeling...

    Mike,
I know that feeling...and it's not good!!! If it were me, I might just hold off on flying. If it is a 'glitch', then he'll understand, and you can reschudle, for maybe a better time for both of you. Sometimes, there just bigger fish to fry(for either of you). I'm very much an optimutus, but there are times when I should have listened to that 'little voice' and waited.
I really feel for you!!! And you know I have been put thru the wringer more than once. But cutting off communications alltogether...To me a bad sign.
It would cost a fortune to get a flight back on short notice, not to mention not being much company for yourself(and any unsuspecting soul who you come upon). That's why I didn't get crazy in Cinci !!! My boys thought I would blow for sure and I wanted to...but I had to ride back 15 hours with them, and it would have made for a suck-bu&& trip for those who supported me. And they deserved better for all their help!!!
Your in a pickle, and not by your choosing...or actions!!!
Take a few deep breaths, and try to get him 1 more time...
Screw the hour... You need to know, one way or the other!!!
No contact back and I'd hold @ home until later...
If you want to talk, I'll call you...
    Just im your phone #...

I hope so, he has been very picky and patient for the last 2 years. Man would I be so pissed if a deal like that fell through after all the searching and excitement Mike has gone through. If this falls through, I hope he pulls a William Wallace and sends this guys wife his head in a basket and sacks Hamilton, OH!

Oh no SF. I'm really hoping this thing works out for you. What a jerk the seller is that all of a sudden he's incommunicado. What the heck is up with that? And what's with all of his questions, for crying out loud. Obviously, you're not spending a couple of hundred dollars, so he has to know your affection for the long roof. What does he think, that you're going to derbyize it? This is not right. He offered the car for sale and you've both agreed on a price. He'd better be a man of his word and complete the transaction.
I'm hoping no news is good news, but I'm on pins and needles waiting to see how it all turns out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, SF. You deserve to own this car; it couldn't have found a better home.
