On this day in 1965, Mount Hermon and Deerfield kept playing! It's hard to find a photo more iconic than this AP Sports Photo of the Year. How many of you were on campus, or had relatives on campus, the day of the #SillimanFire?? Fun fact: The brand new Gilder Center now stands exactly where Silliman Hall once stood!

People were sensible, back then. It was totally logical to keep minding one's own business, without letting one's self get distracted by events of which were not influenceable. Nowadays, those players would get out their cellphones, before filming selfies in front of a disaster in the making

 

I saw this on a Tucker site, it’s the same one that I saw in Paris Hill, Maine.
