    Hey Gang

A few weeks ago I sold my '66 Chrysler Town & Country. It went to a Mopar C-Body nut in Arizona. Thought I was out of the longroof business until I found this....by accident!

Got it home and started cleaning it up. It's straight, one spot of rust by the gas pedal (I think the wiper pivot leaks). All the trim is present. Slant 6 auto, power tailgate window, no third row. Gonna clean it up some more, and if the slanty runs good, drive it! If not, I have a 413/727 that will fit just fine.

    More pics....

Swapped out the rotting tires for some spares I had laying around.

The original engine was gone, the PO started installing a newer '70's model and stopped.

That's a nice find! Push button shifter too. Amazing how those years got gauges instead of idiot lights.

Besides...it's "wife approved" now. That means I can't sell it unless stupid money is involved....which means she gets half! :49:

I've got my eye on a 62. But it's on the west coast. Of course it is. Where else would it be??

Being on the West Coast at least it's probably not a rust bucket. It's cheaper to ship them than replace lots of sheetmetal.

I agree, azhemi....but I'm trying to find someone to look at it for me to determine if the floors etc are ok. The owner sent pix but you know how that goes. I would ship the car here but don't want to spend the money without knowing more. The car's been sitting awhile.

Definatly a good Idea to have someone look at it for you. Where is it located? Maybe if you posted the location here and maybe some other sites you'll get a volunteer. I'd be glad to check out cars in my area (Phoenix) for anyone that asks.

I have a whole other thread I started called...."Spokane Anyone?". I haven't had any bites. I do like the car but it has been sitting and it's an old Mopar so I need to know about the rust and other things as well. Hope someone answers my thread. There's a restorer that told the owner he is coming through the area in about 10 days and would pick it up. I'm trying to beat him to it.

Are you a member at Moparts? If so post there. I'm sure there are members there in the Spokane area. I've got a Mopar Buddy in Yakima. I'll check to see how close that is to Spokane.

Just got another email from the owner, azhemi. This is where the car is.

60 miles west of Spokane, 45 miles east of Moses Lake and 70 miles north of Tri Cities. The car is about 20-25 minutes from me, depending on who comes from where of course.

No, I'm not a member. Just recently got into old Mopar stuff. The directions above mean nothing to me because I'm totally unfamiliar with the area. Maybe someone that lives out there will be near this area and would be willing to look at an old wagon. The owner DID just tell me that the spare tire well is rusted through. Can't buy it until I know more.
