This is the second rarest of the Pontiac A-Body wagons, and the first year of the Grand Le Mans Safari.

    1975
    Grand LeMans Wagon 2 seat (2AG35) - 1,393
    Grand LeMans Wagon 3 seat (2AG45) - 1,501

The only model/year with lower production numbers was 1974
    1974
    Luxury LeMans Wagon 2 seat (2AG35) - 952
    Luxury LeMans Wagon 3 seat (2AG45) - 1,178

In case you are curious, here is the complete 1973-1977 Pontiac A-body Production Numbers

It won't hurt to try for sure. You can't go wrong in buying it. I would love to find a wagon like that.

    Sorry to be the spoilsport

If we're still talking about that same ole' Poncho wagon, I see alot of money going down a black hole for something that reminds us of the total decline of GM. You might get it built, THEN you won't be able to even crank it up because of emission standards. AND believe me, they ARE going to change to where all you can do is trailer your car back and forth to shows. You'll have to have the motor "locked" like the cash for clunkers program OR removed.
If you're going to go classic, find something from the 50's or 60's. They're still out there. (like early model Olds and Chevy's). Fords and Mopars from the 50's. Much cooler. Much more value.

Im not picking this car up because of how valuable it may or may not be. I am a wagon enthusiast, and I havent ever seen another Pontiac like this on the road in as far as I can remember.

Its the uniqueness of the car that I like. I like to be different. I like Ramblers,Gremlins and Matadors. I like the stuff that noone else likes. It unusual and thats what makes it neat. To drive an Oddball car while everyone else drives Corvettes,Camaros, and Mustangs. I could care less how much this ol' Poncho is worth. Its obviously unloved, and I plan on bringing it back to life and drive it like it was made for.

What color is the interior? I have a nice tan bench from a 77 Buick Century Wagon, with a fold down armrest, car only had 79,000 winter only michigan miles on it when I parted it out, the seat foam and cover are in good but not perfect shape. You could have it for the shipping costs if interested.

I love this. :bouncy: To save a wonderful creation because you see the merit in it. It may not make sense to anyone else, but it does to you.:thumbs2::clap:

The problem was, this was the FIRST year that really started the decline of the entire US automobile industry. GM didn't think enough of their cars to offer much more than a 12 month warranty. If you mean to fix it and drive it "the way it was meant to be" THEN you'll be broke down on the side of the road more than you're driving. Ramblers?. One thing to be different BUT those cars were worse than different. They were horrible automobiles. I know, my Dad bought three of them before he finally realized if he wanted economy, he'd have to go foreign. If he wanted comfort, then he'd have to go Ford or Chrysler. He was a mechanic and he KNEW GM stuff was crap.
IF you want a wagon, fine. BUT why not rejuvenate an old Chrysler, or the aforementioned Mid-60's olds. Nothing everyday about a 63 to 65 Buick with the Wildcat engines. NO, 73 to 80 were the beginning of the end of ALOT of US companies, and those thrown together designs are a pitiful reminder of having to go pick-up Mom and Dad broke down on the road in my tiny little Datsun 1200.

Not everything old is worth keeping/a treasure.
