I drive past this place all the time and finally pulled in for a photo op. It used to be a hanger at an airstrip used by crop dusters here in the Phoenix area. As you can see in the background a housing subdivision has taken over the site as has happened to a lot of the farmland in the area. I figured l'd get pictures before it becomes a bunch of cookie cutter homes.
Probably not Krash. 3 months ago it was a complete building. Little by little it's being scavenged for building material it seems.
Looking at Google Earth, I found an old airstrip on the west side, in Surprise, Az. Runways / taxiways in sort of a triangular shape. Now in the process of being developed, including a new Surprise, Az. City Hall. This might not be where your old hanger is though. Couldn't find it there.
Yup that's the place. Was still being used until recently but not for airplanes. Houses had already been built on the airstrip. I hear now they are using GPS and treating the farm fields on the ground instead of using aircraft.
