Jennifer, I pray you are spared from the fires. If the situation gets to the point where you are ordered to evacuate, please, please, get out. We were fortunate not to lose any friends or neighbors to Ian last September but people who lived just a few miles from us did die when they did not evacuate.

 

These, at the moment are not close to us. We can smell the smoke when we are outside if the wind is right. My work is a bit closer, we could see the smoke clouds from there.
We are actually just getting ready to go to the new place for the weekend, even further away. We have no TV or internet there so there will be no news over the weekend. I will get you caught up on Monday.

Here's to hoping you and your husband are spared. I have a friend in South Central AB, who had to deal with fires that may have been intentionally set. She and her husband were ready to evac their daughters, goats and horses on a moment's notice. But that has passed for them. Hopefully these fires will pass you guys.

 

And in other news, I was at Snobby Lobby today, and if anyone's looking for 1/64th scale wagons, there are still '68 and '69 Satellite wagons, and '76 Safari wagons available.
