Here's an old "Twin Coach" we restored when I worked for City Of Phoenix Transit. When done it was put on display at the downtown bus station. After they remodeled and expanded the terminal it dissapeared. Not sure where it is now.
Well I found out from my City connection that it was sold at auction and is now a taco stand in Rocky Point Mexico!
Probably so. I worked for Phoenix Transit for over 20 years. For the first 10-15 years there never seemed to be a shortage of money. If there was a problem throw money at it and it was fixed. The last 5 years I worked there was a different story. No money for anything. The fleet went downhill in a hurry. Now the city is going to go with electric buses. The cost of them is astronomical so I don't know where the money for them will come from. Here's before and after pictures of what I did there.
