    How much do you have to bore the engine out, in order to end up with 1 cubic inch more?
    I had a rusted-out red '63 of those
    I doubt that 225s were even available in compacts yet. The base engine was a 170 of which moved these Darts pretty well. Starting with the heavier Scamps, they dropped 198s into them, having discontinued the 170s

    The 225 cubic inch Slant 6 became optional on the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Lancer in the 1962 model year. The Lancer became the Dodge Dart when the new generation of Chrysler Corp. compacts debuted for the 1963 model year.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to recall them still being offered on cars up to 83 and trucks till 87.
