Not a very big tent trailer there, but I would have to say I would not be very comfortable towing it with a VW Squareback.

Looks like an Apache pop-up trailer. Not a tent trailer. Don't know what they weighed, but, I'm inclined to agree about not wanting to tow one with a VW.

Dang Jim. You hit the motherlode! So many great photos. I know that things were far from perfect "back then". But man, I wish we could go back to those simpler times. I'm pretty convinced that life was better.
Thanks for sharing all of these with us.

Went to the Chicago show many times. My greatest thrill was when I was in college and they had a DeTomaso Mangusta on display. It was the only time I've ever seen one instead of the more common Pantera. It had a 427 in it.

A family member has a Trans Am he put into storage, it's probably a 75 to 77 but that's a guess as I only saw it once, very low mileage, black with gold, its stored with his '70 AAR 'cuda and a '71 Challenger convertible and a couple of other performance cars. They were tucked away in 1982 and still there.

Imagine opening that door today. Would be like opening King Tut's tomb.

There was a small Chevy dealership in Cayuga, IN population about 400. The oldest son, who inherited it from his father when he passed bought a new Corvette every year, starting with 1954, and put it in a storage building in town. You could drive by and barely see them thru the dirty windows in the front of the building. I moved away from the area and never heard what became of them. Very few people even knew they were there.
