    Good morning all,

Just wanted to to say hello and how excited I am about the forum and hoping to get some ideas and insight. I'm from Eastern NC and just bought a 1983 Malibu wagon. It is a retired Fire Dept car that has been sitting for a bit which means the inside is rough but the outside has nice patina. My plan right now is to fix the interior, maybe not back to original but definitely back to something better and then decide what to do about the outside.

Look forward to to talking to everyone,
    Poppa

Welcome to the Forum. ‘83 had to be about the last year for Malibu right? Car looks like it’s in good shape.

    Hey 60Mercman,

Yep last year. Still do t know a lot about the car but will soon enough. Drivetrain is perfect, the body is so so, the interior needs a lot of work. I have read on this forums about changing g dash components with other make/models and that helps.

Welcome to the forums, Poppajac. Love the Malibu wagons, been looking for a single headlight (78-79) at a reasonable price for a while now. I have a 400 small block that's just dying to get into one. :)

Hope to hear more about your progress as you go along.

Welcome aboard. That's a fine looking wagon you have there. Would be fun to sort of revive the fire department theme.
