Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Yeah you would think that picture was a lot older except for the ‘56 Fairlane turning the corner. Even the cop cars are a few years old there.

 

Chivy and Ford stepsides in the same photo. Common then, almost unheard of now.

I Spy, with my Automotive eye, a Limey 4X4 sitting behind the late Fifties Ford on the street....

Probably late 1960's or early 70's
Falcon wagon ... half painted black ... half white .... notice the mud on the front fender and clump of weeds caught in the back bumper .... Those guys were known to have fun.
One time there was a rail strike .... no trains running for weeks ... they let some air out of the tires and drove on the rails from town to town.

 

Sort of an odd body to be used for drag racing.....old Opel Rekord Olympia coupe', 1957.
