It's good to see you back on. If you don't already know, I finally found a wagon for me, a loaded '89 CP, back in the middle of last year. It's good to know you had all those services done. Keep it up, and your CP will last you a good long time.

 

Very nice. Those are such great cars. I have two ‘83’s pre EFI and some post ‘86 4 door Grand Marquis. If I could only drive one car the rest of my life it would be my ‘86 Grand Marquis. There are a great size and a ton of comfort. Plus the mileage isn’t horrible. Snooterbuckets. Are you familiar with Greenlight? They have a burgundy 1/64 and I think 1/18 scale Colony Park. Very nice for the scale. Pictured is the 1/64 scale.

 

Joe has an EEC IV manual from Allen, and it has EEC III, and a small bit of EEC II stuff in it, so if you have any problems with your CFI-fired rigs, don't hesitate to ask, we'll see if we can answer your question.

New headliner in the 64. oem hardboard style with plenty of insulation and new door panels from SMS.

Jeremiah, that shot looking back at the tailgate and roof has to be very familiar like your Fury. I loved those blue interiors of the ‘60’s those and the greens, especially turquoise were some of the most fabulous colors. Sadly we’ll never are those again.

 

You're right Bill. I was actually thinking the same thing!
My headliner isn't blue though. It's more of a cream color. But otherwise the rest of the blue looks veeeeeery familiar.

 

It has the chrome bows though right? 1964 had to be about the last year those were used. Seems at least with Ford and Mercury the single piece sown headliners started in ‘65. Maybe Chrysler was a few years later. Think GM might have been earlier. ‘61-‘62?

 

Silvertwinkiehobo, welcome to the Colony Park club. It's a great club to belong to. I'm the second owner of my 87 and got in '98. I had no idea I was going to keep it so long when I bought it, but I certainly am glad I did.
60 Mercman, thanks for the turn on. I had never heard of greenlight. I went on their site and couldn't find a burgundy CP, only a grey one. I absolutely would've bought a burgundy 1/18th, but again, couldn't find one.
Dan, beautiful job on the headliner and door panels. Looks brand new. You've gotta be psyched.

 

I finally found the proper size belt for my CP It was originally built with a heated windshield, and therefore has the big Ford side-plug alternator, and the belt for the 2G alternator will not fit. Now it doesn't irritatingly squeal.
