The Geko Gear, Orbit 950 cost me under $190.00 Can. which which would be around $ 140.00 US.

Nope, A/C barrier to limit the Cold air to the passenger compartment. Temps in Houston are often 100 degrees and the A/C struggles to cool the entire wagon. This way, the passenger area is cooler. It's not airtight but it works. It's held in place by a crevice behind the back seat at the bottom and velcro at the top.

 

Reminds me of the barriers we used to put in cargo vans to keep the front warm while it was -40* outside.

 

Welded and reground 7 chewed up teeth on the 85's ring gear, the teeth have like this since I bought the 85 and have not had a real problem with it. Since I finally have room in the garage I decided it was time to fix them, the problem is that the only access to the teeth without pulling the trans and removing the ring gear/ flex plate is through the starter hole. To make an awkward job short after I pulled enough components to give me access to the teeth I made one pass with the mig, ground the teeth then a second pass to finish building up the teeth plus another pass with a carbide cutter to finish shaping them.
I only to pictures before an dafter the first pass and grinding, so I'll post them.

and after the first grind, you can see a couple teeth have a decent build while the rest needed a second pass.
It would have been easier if I had a hoist but I did this with the car on stands and on my back while trying to hold my head up so i could see what I was doing, oh well I think I'll just hit the liquid pain killer tonight.

 

79 Impala- Had new channels and beltline sweeps installed on all glass, rubber gaskets around rear doors quarter-windows repaired/filled (no supplier offers replacement gaskets for these), all window regulators cleaned & lubed, new windshield, new beltline sweep for tailgate glass, new weatherstrip on all doors, replaced front doors hinge pins, replaced cracked exhaust manifold, replaced Y exhaust going to cat converter, new shocks, and I’m not finished yet.

 

After replacing the coil and ECM, I had to replace the distributor. Then after retuning a few times (as this car runs 10 degrees BTDC), we replaced the calipers, rotors and wheel bearings. All set for Spring! Now to wait through the Winter.

 

Dang Gregpenn, I love the combo of your wagon with the vintage camper.

 

I recently added factory aluminum wheels that would have come on the car if the original owner or dealer who ordered the car had done so. It seems to be a very loaded car but for some reason just had steel wheels and hubcaps... so I finished it off.

I got a gps and camera for my birthday. Starting the install, so far so good

 

Upgraded to HEI ignition

 

That's a very clean underhood. The valve covers are a nice touch.
