Anyone notice anything interesting about this? (I almost missed it at first glance, it's so subtle.....)
If it isn't the wagon, the only slightly unusual thing I see is "artandcolour" with the English spelling of color. So is this an English showroom ?
OK. Time's up.... This is a 1961 Lincoln Continental 2-door hardtop. Funny thing is though, Lincoln didn't SELL a 1961 Continental 2-door hardtop. They were only built and sold in 4-door convertible and 4-door sedan styles (with rear-hinged rear doors). So THIS unit is a one-off factory concept vehicle - not a production model. A 2-door hardtop model didn't rejoin the Continental lineup until the 1966 model year.
Good catch Marshall! I actually spent a little time looking at the image (before you mentioned anything) but I was mostly focused on the front end. I did notice the photo on the wall looked interesting, but I assumed it was part of the background that made it appear to be a wagon. Never once did it register that I was looking at a two door car instead of a four door.
