Mr. Kirby Nesbeth, Of Pasadena seen here assisting Mrs. Virginia Calfcart with a lovely pair of black, size 6 closed toe T strap Roxy pumps. As it turns out Mr. Nesbeth, formally of Bullocks Wilshire ( manager Ladies shoe department) had amassed quite a personal ladies shoe collection by the time he was let go in early 1944. It was later discovered he was an extremely sick young man with an ankle fetish. He was quite proud of his over 400 pair collection of women’s shoes. Some of his favorites included a variety of “peep toe” and Wiggle bow pumps in a myriad of colors and sizes. With its reputation in the balance, Bullocks was able to squash the entire matter, and with the return of the stolen shoes agreed not to press charges provided Mr. Nesbeth move out of the Los Angeles area, and completely disavow any tie to the Bullocks chain.
I guess, that explains all of those chopped-off-at-the-ankle feet stored in his freezer. All of them with meticulously painted toenails whose paint matched exactly that of the bright red touch-up paint found in his car's glovebox
. Absolutely a wide track. Eleven year old me says it is a 59 and guess a Catalina. Remember the Bonnevilles as having wider tail lights. Twenty minutes ago wife told me where we were going for New Years Eve and what I should pick up at the store before she gets up. Remember not one word.
Isn't it funny how that works? I occasionally tell folks that I can't remember anything important, but if you want obscure automobile information, then I'm your guy.
