I watched a video from the show My Classic Car, and a copy of the Munster Koach was what was featured. The owner, as he was interviewed by the host, specifically stated all versions were powered by hopped-up 289 engines. If I can find it again, I'll post it up.

Yeah, it had to have been a Ford of some type, because the header tubes were evenly spaced from one another. Any other engine besides a Ford or Hemi would have looked awkward in there.
That kid must have pooped his pants, thinking that Fred Gwynne was the real Frankenstein

Funny how every time this photo is shared, someone comments on the kid.

Well I'm a Dad with two young boys, so I guess I have grown accustomed to noticing things like that.

Well, you see, a certain member of this forum who otherwise reliably posts comment on such matters has suspiciously refrained from comment (You know who you are. God'll get you!), causing me to suspect he's that boy pictured. If not the case and if that boy hasn't since then died from measles, mumps, mono or has been since then run over by a car or died in an afterschool dragrace gone wrong, he should at least come forward and start signing autographs. He could always use Marilyn Munster sitting in the back seat while shooting him with a B.B. gun as an excuse as to why he was fastening his behind like that. The crime would fall well without the statutes of limitations. So, Marilyn would no longer have any reason to contest such an accusation

This street scene was taken on November 1, 1940, at the intersection of West 7th and Henderson Streets in Fort Worth, Texas.
