Of the three Freestyles I regularly work on all of those mounts are torn out. I've told the owners, but I honestly can't find any drivability issues with it like that so we just leave it alone. Where did you get the entire mount from? I've only seen the bushing for sale by itself.

Actually I don't use the block heater in my cars when the temp is above -15*c, what the extension cord is hooked to is a battery tender to keep the battery happy until the snow melts in the spring.

Oh, pardon, it was the battery's quote.

I noticed a new vibration while driving it last summer and it gradually intensified. Once I installed the new mount it went away completely.
    I found the mount online.

Two weeks ago I dropped my wagon off at the body shop. Early last week I stopped by to see if they had a chance to look at it yet. They hadn't. Today I stopped by again, and they are almost ready to cut in the paint. They still have a couple minor repairs to do under neath, but they said this wagon is about as straight and solid an old car as they've ever seen. They did have to cut out and reform the bottom of the spare tire well in the quarter panel. A couple small patches on the inner fenders by the hood hinges, and a couple minor dings that were hidden under body filler, and that was the extent of the repairs on the outside. They did have to cut out and weld in a repair for a rust hole on the inside of the tailgate and at the bottom of one door and repair a tailgate hinge, but that was about it. Now that we know a replacement windshield is available, they will be pulling the windshield as well to make sure the channel is clean and rust free before painting.
This car will be coming home sooner than expected. I have done nothing to prepare for that day. Still need to get bumpers in for rechroming, redo a K frame and front suspension that will replace the original and clean up the motor and trans so its ready for install and still have to get upholstery on the seats. Dash gauge cluster has been disassembled on my kitchen counter for three weeks. Time to get that back together.

Then removed all the chrome and cleaned all the Ziebart from under the chrome and off the edges of the chrome. Full detail on the body starting with a clay bar cleaning, then buff and polish finished with a CQuartz ceramic coating. Polished all the chrome and reinstalled. Now to polish the bumpers and start on the minor interior flaws

Its been a week since my last visit, so I went by the body shop to check on my 67 Belvedere wagon today. They've started cutting in the paint. It's the original 1967 Plymouth Medium Tan Metallic color, and seeing the shiney new paint today was kind of exciting for me. Looking forward to getting this one home for reassembly. Looks like body work and paint will be done long before I'm ready with interior, engine, chrome, etc. 20191203_145250[1].jpg 20191203_145354[1].jpg 20191203_145306[2].jpg 20191203_145322[1].jpg 20191203_145331[1].jpg 20191203_145237[2].jpg

The other night, I dreamed that I was driving one of 3 Clamshell wagons in a row. I don't remember details about which Clam Wagons they were. Does this count? :D
