Wow, you could be right. I haven't seen him on the site in a while, though.

This fellow pulled into the parking lot at Mel's Diner last night just as we were about to leave to continue cruising.
He just got the wagon from Nevada. It's a 6 passenger with a 390.

He also has a 65 Dodge Cornet station wagon that he is restoring. I'm looking forward to seeing that one around town.

On that previous post, that is indeed zzzizxz's Safari wagon (David) If you recall, he and the wagon were featured in a TV show some time back......

Saw this the other day...looked pretty straight: IMG_20190716_141720.jpg IMG_20190716_141721.jpg IMG_20190716_141723.jpg

Also, when I was driving this morning into the Cascade Foothills on US2, I passed a '73/'74 Galaxie wagon, and aside from the fact it had a straight body (as straight as I could see, passing each other at a combined 120 MPH), the paint looked both new and lettered for the military. Very dark grey, yellow lettering. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for it now.

It almost looks like it's abandoned, from the way he parked it in the middle of nowhere. Or maybe, he's trying to avoid typical parking lot dings and dents?

He was driving outta the parking lot....

Saw this very rare, provenance-encrusted jewel at a car show, on of all days, last Wednesday evening:

That allowance certificate is certainly a brow-raiser.

Transportation charges took up quite a percentage, from the base price. It would have been much cheaper to just Greyhound it to Louisville and drive it back. At least, it would have been broken in, when the buyer got home. Being a fun roadtrip would have made it worth it, in any case

Nice wagon with a great road trip story. Imagine taking a new 60 Edsel wagon on 2 lane blacktop and stopping at Mom & Pops. Wonder what they saw.

A few hotel rooms along Route 66, beer coolers at party stores, tumble weed, Segora cactuses and red sand. Why pay 200 hard 1960 gold-backed dollars just to stay home and see nothing but a black and white television screen showing Jacky Gleason and the Honeymooners by then re-runs?

Drove down a “no trespassing” driveway to get this. Looks restorable from here. What is it? The chrome on the back looks like a Chevy but the front clip kinda looks like a ford minus the big missing circular badge....Buick?? BBC8436D-1E4B-441D-91E7-1242DB6091C8.jpeg
