This is a photo of a photo, so it's not the best quality. This particular Fire Engine is still owned by our local fire department. It is special to me for a personal reason though since it is also the Fire Engine that carried my Grandpa to his final resting place. And for those interested, the Terrace Heights Civic Center is still standing and in excellent condition.
I love then and now shots. Were they standing in the same location today those guys would be standing in the middle of the street today. There’s a bar I like going to and they have a picture of the original building from early 20th century. It used to be a school. I was looking at it one day and the bar tender said “just think, if that building were still standing today I’d be a teacher.”
Yup those vintage Woodlite headlights are Kool, But I have never seen 4 of those aftermarket bumpers with lights on the end before in a single picture!!!
Didn't seem like a fire department with a tight budget, judging by the Olds 98 hardtop. Now, this should have been a color print
Who could hate this fire truck? I'd be tempted to set fire to my own home, if these were still in service
