Yeah and where’s vinyl top and sun roof. Being nit picky. But you’re right jwdtenn. It is not totally original, but I do like that sport roof model.

I've always loved this 2-year only fastback Thunderbird, but there is a lot here that is non-factory, including the body side moldings. It is possible this is the base two-door hardtop model which did not have the vinyl roof, but the rear C-panel roof insignias are also missing.

Should have the roof emblems as shown, and those are the correct factory body side moldings, which required the rocker panel moldings be deleted. Could not have both.

Yes. It should have had the sail panel birds even without the vinyl top. And the wheel opening moldings. I was going to say that as well. But after seeing that ‘76 Colony Park. I wanted to restrain myself from sounding too Bitchy.

BTW. I love the Caprice Estate that’s your new Avitar. Is that an ‘89 or ‘90? Or ‘87-88 when did they pick up the split turn signal light?

It is a 1989 model. No pesky door-mounted front seat belts as in the 1990 model, which was the last year before the re-design that gave us the whale-like 1991 Caprice.

It is a nice example in a good color. Has all GM factory options for 1989 including dual power front seats.

However, I also have this 1976 Caprice. It is a champ.

Even in the emissions-choked Seventies, I bet that wagon doesn't break a sweat with that boat.

Ha! Has the 400 V8. An original Cali car, so the 454 was not available.

The boat belongs to the previous owner! Also a forum member!

What a great rig. Love the black interior. PS. Love the guy across the street gawking at it. He’s probably never seen a clamshell wagon, or maybe even a yellow car. Not too many of either around these days. What a great 20 year run for Caprice/Kingswood Estates. ‘66-‘76-‘86. 3 of my favorites.
