Wagons in vintage Street scenes

According to the site I found it on, it was linked to the Wagons Speedo, and intended for the cars following to check the accuracy of their speedo's.

 

I don't think I have ever seen a snow conversion of a wagon before, also I wonder how you got in or out of it as the tracks seem to be taller than the bottom of the doors.

 

This was posted a couple years ago, and I had asked my uncle (who's a retired CHP/Idaho SP officer) about it, and yes, it's hooked to the car, so that people following would be able to see any speedo error, and adjust their driving accordingly.

 

Man if those two collided the ‘61 Chevy looks like it took the brunt of the damage. The Fords no beauty either. Ouch!
