Mrs Bumstead is chunky enough, to the point where her nightgown and underwear fits Gordon. It'll just be a matter of time, until she notices items going missing. This is what happens when one waits too long for a washload and ends up running the machine twice in a day. Spending more time than needed hanging clothing to dry gives Mr.(?) Wainright the opportunity for sneaking into the back door, in order to rummage through her make-up kit where selected items also go missing. She then blames the theft on her teenage daughter which allows Gordon to continue his burglaries

 

Sad but true. That’s exactly how my uncle Phyllis got started. I just cannot take a man seriously when he is in a size 13 low vamp pump.

Well I just have to clarify why she does wait until 3:15 everyday. That is the exact time between “Edge of Night” and “As the World Turns” when her local station gives the daily news roundup. She can take the basket out and have it pinned up in 12 minutes, get a cup of Folgers, instant, and be back in front of the television to hang on every word of Bob and Lisa Hughes first argument.

 

If that's all the had to argue about, back then, garages and hobbies were the only way to keep sane

 

I was always taught not to pull your pistol unless you plan on shooting it, and don’t point your rifle at anything you don’t intend to kill. These Must be the same people who came up with the kamikaze cause they’re all aiming at the heads of friendlies. Also someone outta tell the girl in the front that resting your cheek on the stock like that is a good way to earn a black eye...

 

I think, she's more worried that the rifle pointed at the back of her head might have a live round in the chamber. It shouldn't be a surprise that the cutie who snuck the round into that rifle is giggling over it
