They released 2 1974 versions several months ago, burgundy and ranch green. Both are non-woodgrain. They recently released the 1975 versions which are both woodgrain. White with red interior and Sand Beige with Saddle interior. My car is Sandstone w/Saddle which is 1 shade darker but can't get any closer. If I had a red '57 BelAir I'd say I might find a die cast twin car someday but I never thought in a million years there would be a twin to a low production wagon like mine especially in a similar color. I think I'll order a second one to take out of the package. All 4 versions readily available on eBay for $10 each. Pretty good detail for how small these are.
Hey Bigboats. Instead of buying them on EBay, buy them through Diecastmodel wholesale, or through diecast direct. $5.99.
Thanks for the lead but they are higher unless I'm reading the sites incorrectly. The 75's are $6.99 on those sites and they kill you on shipping charges. One site is $10 and the other is $7 just in shipping. They are about $10 each including shipping on eBay.
I guess that’s right. I normally order 5+ at a time, but you’re probably right buying 1/2 it make sense to pay a few bucks more if they include shipping. I’m anxious to see what they do with the ‘76 releases. Greenlight has already posted additional LTD and Country Squire new additions, along with an ‘89 Colony Park. I love that your Buick is an issue. Johnny Lightening did a series of wood/non wood ‘73 Caprice Estates a few years back. If these wagons fly off the shelf seems they will continue to do more of them.
AutoWorld did a really nice job on those Buick wagons. The one whose gonna go crazy with the wagons is Greenlight. They’ve already released some nice wagons in their “Estate” series. They have an ‘89, and an ‘85 Colony Park on slate. They are also using those wagons for Taxi, Police and Fire cars. Nice detail there too.
New castings from Greenlight! The 1989 Mercury Colony Park (White) and the 1986 LTD Crown Victoria Wagon (dark gray) are now available. The next series for summer of 2019 has also been announced! That series will include a 1985 Colony Park in burgundy, a 1984 LTD wagon in tan, and two new wagons! 1970 Cutlass Vista Cruiser In Nugget Gold, and a 1972 Vista Cruiser In Vicking Blue. Both with wood. The 2 Country Squires they’ve done have excellent detail for 1/64 cars. These are in the “Estate Series” of station wagons.
Got my white Colony Park and the gray LTD wagon. Nice castings. The grill on the Colony Park is a little wonky, but really nice detail.
Good news. Auto World is set to release their 1976 Buick Wagon diecast models in May. Not sure if they are Estates with wood, but they are featured in Muskit brown poly and Potomac Blue poly. Looking forward to seeing those guys.
Wow. 2 / 4 (car) new Buick releases coming soon at AutoWorld. The ‘76 is finally making its debut in Musket Brown and Potomac Blue, both with wood. The ‘74 is following in June, also this time with wood in ginger brown and Mediterranean? Blue. Really nice cars. Can’t wait. That will round out that series. They are also releasing another ‘69 Kingswood Estate in garnet red, and a gloss black (without wood). People are eating up the wagon. Green light is still planning several more “Estate Wagon” sets now including the Vista Cruiser set from ‘70-‘72. Good stuff.
