Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Ooh, I hadn't seen that before.

 

Interesting that the carburetion, cooling and exhaust all were modified to allow that design, and that Harley Earl got to drive it as a personal car. Makes me wonder if he drag-raced Zora Arkus-Duntov, who had a supposedly well-modded '59 Biscayne 2-door.

 

Anybody recognize that small boat harbor in the picture above? I'm thinking somewhere on the central or northern California coast, but that's just a guess. Newest cars I see in the pic are '59's.....

Could even be somewhere inside San Francisco Bay.....

 

Is it possible that the Imperial and Continental could be '60 models?
There are some exotics, in there which one wouldn't readilly see in Michigan. I don't mean the Karmann Ghia and Dauphine, though. Namely, the Crosley coincidentally parked behind the Citroen DS. What do you suppose that 2-door wagon at the bottom right corner could be?
