My condolences. Too bad, you couldn't get the computer over to his room, so that all this slapstick comedy going on here could cheer him up, to help him hold on a little longer

 

Once he got past the point of no return, it was too late.

Thank you. We never did manage to get down your way; long trips got to the point of wearing him down. But this coming year, I'm going to try to make some of the places we were going to go.

 

I understand. Same situation with my Grandparents the last few years. Long car rides became an insurmountable obstacle.
We were at the Toppenish train station for the Christmas Train earlier this month and though I have never met you or your Father, at one point I did think about you and your Dad.
I hope in the coming year that you are able to make it to some of those places.

 

Me too. I'd like to take my grand nephew, but I'm reasonably sure he's not into the mechanical dinosaurs that roamed the rails, once upon a time.

Andrew, sorry about your father's passing. He lived a long life and I'm sure left you with many memories.

I've always wanted to race as many places as humanly possible, in my 21 years, ive visited over 70 racetracks. But only raced at 15 or so. Now champion spark plugs has started a contest that could help me realize my dream and drag this purple station wagon across the country to different dragstrips for the simple reason of saying "I've been there" and to learn the history of my sport one track at a time. Most people in this contest want to chase a single season championship, I want to chase an all time record.
