Wagons in vintage Street scenes

^^ Well, that big parking lot is an amusement park now - Disney's California Adventure.......

 

Do you have a year and location for this photo? The guy standing in front of that strange wagon has a resemblance to the first guitarist of the B52s and I wonder if it's him.

What... I just looked up various vintage B52s photos and there's a picture of someone with the same kind of glasses on in it but that might not mean anything, I'm not sure it's Ricky in the B52s pic...

 

I told my wife I really like this photo. Then I noticed it's me and my brother in Illinois................... Well, it could have been except mom drove a beat up Chevy 4-door of some sort by then and I was older and better looking.

 

Like almost everyplace else, they tear down buildings to build parking lots and replace parking lots with amusement parks or condos.
All of those cars are most likely can openers and smaller cars.

 

The only B52's I've seen have wings.
The man with glasses is standing in front of a 4-door sedan. I think it has a pushbar similar to the Pontiac wagon and that person is a female. I can't zoom so am just guessing.

Thanks, I thought it might be a Pontiac but somehow I missed it.

I thought it might have been Ricky because:

1: He worked at a bus stop (or so I heard) before the B52s were formed (they're the same band that later wrote "Love Shack" after his death)
2: He was a homosexual and I've seen him wearing shoes similar to that in footage of the Dortmund 1983 concert
3: The band was named partially after the 1960s "Beehive" hairdo and the girls in the band had hair like that in the 70s-80s
