Yeller, you sure know how to hurt me. I see a few of these Tonkas I had way back when: the two red Kaiser Jeep construction trucks, the dune buggy (I have a couple of the little buggies in my stuff somewhere) and VW Bug Except mine was black with the standard tires/wheels, and the car carrier (I have the big car carrier and one Ranchero to go with it). Man, I had so many Tonkas, a couple Structos (a Structo Turbine with box trailer, painted in Sears colors and something else, can't remember what it was) a Nylint delivery truck and a Buddy L pickup truck. Those were truly the days of my youth!
We couldn't afford those expensive toys. We played with wooden clothes pins, wooden thread spools, sticks, and rocks.
Well, here's your chance to relive your childhood http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-60S...844987?hash=item212e21257b:g:ExkAAOSwFPRZu1E5
And for those who never did it, rolling down a tall slide on a Mighty Tonka Yellow Dump Truck is not recommended.
Childhood? This might be my only chance to live out my second childhood of owning a red 1963 Corvette split window coupe. Maybe I was lucky not to own nice toys. Still, I'd let my younger brother go first just to make sure this was safe.
The one thing I don't remember is if one of my older sibs goaded me into it (I was the youngest), or if I decided it myself.
