I recently sold all of my 71-76 GM sedans and wagons. Decided it was time to do something different. So I bought a 1991 Suburban and redid it. I've been driving it since completion in April and I love it. BUT, I miss my wagons. So after some searching I pulled the trigger on another Buick wagon. It's not perfect but it's a good driver quality wagon. I just ordered up a transport for it so it won't be home for a couple weeks. Hope it looks as good in person as it does in the pictures

It was for sale in Virginia. It was 2 years ago, I was in DC for work and wanted to go look at it but it sold before I could. This guy bought it, and he is now restoring a house and wants to move it. Fate would have me run across it advertised on Facebook

If it was a person, it would scream, as soon as you started flaying it's fake wooden skin. Which would be the first thing I would do. That plastic film ruins that otherwise lovely color. If it's not real wood, it's not a real woody, in my book. Those door panels look great. Could you upload interior and rug photos for us?

Remove the plastic film??? People pay thousands to have that stuff reapplied, if it's in factory or nice shape why would he remove it? Quick way to loose a couple thousand on your investment by removing that vinyl in my book.

I actually love the woodgrain. To each their own though. I owned the twin to this one but it was a 74 wood delete car. I'd take this this 75 with woodgrain over that 74 any day of the week IMG_2620.PNG IMG_2541.PNG

Very nice shape! Not very familiar with this type of wagon but has the door gaskets been removed? Or are they mounted on the window frame?

Whoa ivy!:stirthepot: What a bold statement! I'd take it on a case by case basis. I've seen a couple of those buicks with out the wood grain and it looked good. I've also seen my 87 cp without wood grain and to me it did not look good. Made it look even bigger and more boxy. For me the wood grain or a two tone paint makes up for the monotonous vast spaces on wagon fenders and quarter panels. Otherwise it's just ALOT of one color. Furthermore, a lot of people don't realize it's vinyl. I had one guy at a gas station pouring over my cp and he knew a lot about it...until he suggested sanding and staining that faded wood on the side

Looks good, Swanny! I think I recall this very same Buick too, is it the one with some paint missing on the tailgate?

On subject of wagons with woodgrain vs no woodgrain, I like them both ways (depending on the model and color!) IMO, Some wagons just should have it, others shouldn't; I love the looks of a 77-79 Catalina Safari without it in Firethorn Red but a 91-96 Roady's good with it.
