Did a little bit of research on this. Definitely a photo from the AMC styling studio, taken possibly around 1963 or 1964. The Marlin in the foreground seems to be a clay mock-up, and it could even be a study for the re-do they did in 1967, when it went to the Ambassador platform, instead of being on the 'Classic' platform. Looks like it possibly has the Ambassador's stacked headlights, judging from the appearance of the fender.

The Classic 2-door hardtop on the right seems to be a real pre-production prototype. The Classics were pretty much the same for the '65/'66 model years. This one, though is showing a tail light trim design that was not used in either year. Interesting Ambassador 4-door in front of the Marlin as well. Like the Classic HT, it could also be trying out different styles. For reference, here's what the back end of a '65 Ambassador looked like in the showroom (Looks almost identical):

Very cool research. I also like seeing these scenes. Much appreciated.

I am thinking that this is during the war when local businesses simply purchased what was available. In that case a '39 Ford wagon, which they then sheeted the thing with 1/4" plywood before painting.
Looks very iconic and I really hope it's still around. Damn cool if you ask me.

Probably got recycled into a drive way or fireplace back around 1950.
