Might be but it's one I got for free when I got my air compressor from Campbell-Hausfield. I can get another for $10.00
say compa' did you use a new roller everytime? or did you just rinse it with mineral spirits and let dry? caus eby my math, thats a poopload of rollers!!!
I used the same roller for the first 4 coats, and then 1 new roller for each one of the last 4 coats. The roller comes with 2 refills, and I bought 2 packs of 4 refills. I've got one pack unopened and one new refill in a bag. Here, it cost $4.98 for one 4 refill bag.
I have been on a new website that Stormin' Directed me to. and have slowly started on my truck. I plan a color change from Red to Yellow and found the Rustoluem site helpful.I didn't know they had 3 different Primers,Which will make it easier for me to change colors by tinting the Primer from White to yellow which will give me better paint coverage without the Red bleeding through and the color choices they have is great.
Back on the case tomorrow April 14, 2008 I'm going through the remaining tasks today and laying out a new wrap-up plan. I have to refinish the tailgate dings I made in the new paint, to straighten it out but I can't do that until it warms up to nights of over 43F (10C). So in the meanwhile I'll be reconnecting the fuel line, re-installing the wiring, the interior, and firing it up. Anyway, today is review/re-strategy day. I want to finish up before the 24th of the month to re-plate it.
Rear tailgate windshield - reinstalled Its a 1979 Fairmont, no moving windows on these babies. I had to reseal it. Remove trim, scarf out the trim clips (squarish ones in the 3rd row): http://www.justclippsauto.com/sampleboard04.htm Then scrape out the extra sealant (box-cutting blade knife) and wipe out all the dust and sediment from winter's blowing snow) and fill the missing spots. I did a good job the first time, but it was just too darn cold (below 45F - 10C) to get to the tricky corners. Anyway, that's done. Next is the steering column and exhaust plumbing. Then the fuel lines (it's almost 18 months with 3 gallons of gas in there that might be jelled - I'll check today.) The only thing left on the body is refinishing the top of the tailgate where I tapped it back into shape. I painted it for protection from the winter, but it needs some sanding and a bit of paint.
oh i did and i do... i have the drivesgaft for the oil pump i just have to find a de cent internet connection to upload em....
OK, saw the pics in the WA to GA thread. Thanks for reaffirming why we like wagons. 10,000 feet in the clouds, and riding in one too. When did Chevy come out with that slogan "See the USA in a Chevrolet"? You just made history again. "See the USA in Ford Wagon, buey"!
The jingle still rings in my head. That would be a good ringtone on a cellular phone. Did Ford ever have a jingle?
