well the 59 is almost back on the road.since the accident i have had a 9" currie built rear with 3.25 gears and a traclok unit along with a complete wilwood rear disc brake kit to match the fronts which Mr.Murphy struck again because after sitting in the box for 2 yrs almost now, when i went to put them on last weekend they were the wrong ones, luckily i was up near summit racing so after fighting with them for an hour they finally realized they gave me the wrong kit and exchanged it at no charge .So now i'm putting the rear together and hopefully by the end of the month it will be back on the road. As far as the speedway goes it is where a lot of the movie Greased lighting about Wendall Scott was filmed .Also Justin Bell Did a ghost track episode about it .Used to be a nascar track till a big still was found under turn 3

Greased Lightning--great flick. One of my favorite '70s movies; Scott was played by Richard Pryor. I looked it up on IMDb, along with the Jeff Bridges movie about Junior Jackson, "The Last American Hero."

Had Lil Sis back the garage yesterday to have the spring pocket, right side, repaired. When they called to tell me the car was ready for pick up, they told me the left side should be looked after as well...rrr. So I asked if they could fix it while they had the car but they were booked and couldn't fit her in until Tuesday. She will also have an MVI at the same time, the end of the month is coming.
She had an oil change and tire rotation last week.

They should've called you as soon as they saw the car. If you're getting that kind of a repair done, even if you requested it, they should've at least looked everything over to confirm the soundness of the rest of the car. Then you could've decided on if you wanted both repairs done the same day or not.

I agree with what Andrew said. Unfortunately you are beyond that point in this particular situation. It's a good thing to keep in mind for the next time you have any repairs done. When you take something in for a specific repair, tell them up front you want to know if they come across anything else that looks like it needs attention. Then it's up to you to authorize the repair.

I was out in my car today just cruising around and some good old boy followed me home, pulled right in the driveway behind me.
He had to tell me he liked my car and about every car he ever owned and everybody he ever knew ever owned, talked my ear off for an hour and he couldn't hear a thing. I told him my name was Allan about five times and every time he said "Yeah, okay Andy".:D
I made the mistake of telling my wife and now she won't stop calling me Andy.
    I asked for it.:(

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You could've said your name was "Amos," and he'd still call you "Andy."

At least he didn't call you "Anus" either.

The rear tailgate wouldn't work on my wagon. So I decided to tear out the rear key switch and investigate. Come to find out there is not to much in them switches. The only way you can ruin one is to break off the brass tabs. Basically they get corrosion on them. So I sanded them all down and put it all back together and now everything works. So excited to have a power tailgate on a clamshell

On Sunday we took the car up to a just-starting flea market at a fire department. Darn near got clipped from being impatient though, even after watching all those driving education videos and videos of cars crashing violently I still almost crashed into another car coming from the left when I was taking a left turn while cars were on the left and right at an intersection that didn't have stop signs on the left or right. Oh and the driver's window has been acting up so I'm not using it. Finally, I drove up to oil creek state park for a little while.

Thinking of replacing the fan with an electric one and the fan shroud since it has a crack in it and the fan hits, mostly while under heavier load such as up a hill. It sounds like the engine's pinging but it's not. A good electric fan should reduce my fuel cost significantly too, maybe 10% or more?

It sounds like you have a broken motor mount, or at least one giving way. But as for your electric fan idea? Make sure you upgrade to a higher-amp alternator and higher-capacity battery. Fans suck a lot of juice when in constant use, especially in slow/bumper-to-bumper/stop-and-go traffic, and you have a bumpin' sound system.

    I agree too.
They actually found the issue while I had the car in for something else. That's why I was surprised when they said the left side needed to be done also. But either way both sides have been done now and she passed her safety check. She only needed a new blub for the reverse lights.
Now I (the car) seems to have a vibration between 70-80kms. I think it is still there but because I'm going faster it's not as noticeable. I wonder if a weight got knocked off during the rotation? Anyway they are going to balance the wheels on Wednesday. I've got to have her running perfect for my sister's visit. (y)

That's what it sounds like is a lost weight. The fact of the vibration lessening after you go past that speed it's most intense is why I think that. If it were RWD, I'd also say have them verify the u-joints.
