Inexpensive to buy, used both today at work and can't count how many times I've used them on cars. The grab that nut or bolt you dropped and can't get a finger on it thingy and the flexible mirror because you can't see where it is but know where it went

Depending on how good your eyes are, I have a couple pair of drug store cheap reading glasses for those times when my face has to be rite there but I can't focus in anymore.

    Old kid's play wagon ....

.... could come in handy also. Still have not used the wagon idea for a junk yard but I have used a hand truck in wreaking yards to milk crate tools and pack larger parts out, just remember a couple straps or rope for either.

KK, just cut us a large check, we will take care of you..... mite not ever need 2/3's of what we buy you but..............:mischeif:

I missed that, up this way it's normally slanged as a "Gas Axe". Car yards on your side of the fence sound similar to ours, I can bring in a cordless saws all or jig saw but I can't use a cordless grinder or a gas axe. Never a real problem though (up this way) other than you have to wait until someone on staff is available to "spark cut" something off and I've never been charged extra.

Yeah. Apparently, if you aren't well-to-do enough and can't afford a Sawzall, you're stuck with a hack saw. Excuse me while I rip my arm muscles, throw my back out, curse a blue streak to put sailors to shame.

Don't think I saw these things mentioned. Especially for breaking loose lug nuts, or larger bolts (bumpers), a breaker or cheater bar. An assortment of deep and shallow sockets, with their corresponding ratchets (3/8" or 1/2") and extensions, depending on what you're looking for. Drill bits, if you bring a cordless drill with you, and need to drill out a pesky screw that you can't break loose or has a stripped head.

You can take in a generator and power tools at the pull a part yards here. No torches, no angle grinders, no gas cans, no jacks.
You take the tools to do the job, watch them like a hawk or they'll disappear in flash, your parts too. Best to have a buddy with you to lend a hand and watch your back, it's like swimming with Sharks. The yards on the left coast may have Sasquatch or ancient Hippies living in the junkers so be careful, those Hippies can get nasty.:D

I've got a small torch. Don't think I'm going to get that desperate, though.
I had one of those grab-all thingies, but I don't remember the last time I saw it. Had a tool box stolen a couple of years ago, might have been in there.
The kids' wagon was an idea that I already had. Still have the one the kids used when they were little. It's at least 27 years old now, and still rolls. Could use a restoration, but not a real priority. It will work good for the yarding...

As I mentioned, let the yard take care of any "spark cuts", you don't want to liable incase of the worst, especially now that it's frying outside.

Wasn't at a scrap yard today but at my barn stretching the legs of my parts wagons, DAMNED it was hot frying under the sun and I knew it would be so I took along.......

and my old man keep whats left of my brain from frying...................

Mmm, water. Such a godly aid to the world. Might want to take some citrus drink too, whether it be lemon or limeade or orange juice or what-have-you. Well it's an idea at least, that and watermelon.

I don't even eat anything before I drink water in the morning. I gotta have at least three cups, sometimes I add a little coffee or juice to just offset the taste but I used to have health issues from not drinking enough water and that was before I turned 18. Overheating in hot weather was one of the health issues.

Not this one shown below which comes from a spring.

Arrowhead water is no longer from the spring it was drawn on when the Southern Pacific Railroad sharted shipping it to Los Angeles to be bottled and sold there...hasn't for at least a few decades. So I'm a little dubious when I see a 'spring' sourced water called "Mountain Valley." Look, is it from a mountain, or from a valley? Kinda bogus, if you ask me.
