Considering all the other projects I have, with those Mini-Metals trucks Dad just bought me, I certainly have just about enough to scratchbash this transporter and all the trucks on it.
That reminds me of how I got a full set of new 1957 Caddy hubcaps. I wasn't the smartest fish in the pond back then. My brother and his friends sold me the set they bought at "Midnight Auto Sales". Honest I didn't know until later what that was! Even later I wasn't the smartest apple in the basket. After removing those Caddy caps from different cars over the years I put two on a homemade camping trailer. Sold the trailer with those Caddy caps on it and forgot where they went for years. The last two were hanging in my Florida garage the last 22 years. They are now back in Illinois in one of my old cars. 1957 Cadillac hubcaps are still my favorites. I just need some 15" wheels and a car to put them on.
Wow. Who the heck just parks an auto transporter with two cars (front one looks like a '55 Chebby) and simply walks away for decades?
Odd! The transport is around a '49 or '50 Chevy. Still has the two piece windshield and the '47-'54 grille. First car a '56 Chevy.
"You can have any ugly-@$$ed color, as long as it's yellow." Must be new taxis for Yellow Cab. I wonder how much they paid for the yellow on the wheels vs. the hubcap delete?
