The leak was small and they fixed it with no ceiling invasion.

No not renting again just selling giving 3 months and then who knows what will happen can't afford 2 mortgages on a small pension.

Good luck GN. I hadn't planned on buying so soon. Now I have a house payment and two to pay utilties, insurance, and other things on with a tiny retirement check.
I think my wife needs to find a job.

GN300, Sorry to hear of all your problems with the house. I was never a fan of renting out. Although possible to make some decent money that way, it was never for me.

Yes they "fixed " the leak but when i went back (after inspection) the "fix" came apart and hot water from the heating system leaked for 2 days (in a storm) and ruined the ceiling took out 6 sheets of gyprock floors damaged etc etc .

today we went and signed bankruptcy papers will be losing both houses due to the fact that "family" went behind my back and put a second "demand" lean against both properties tying our hands and leaving us with no choice .

Now we need a place to live for a few years till our oldest builds a new house that will have a granny suite for us or a guest house.

Dealing now with leaving the family home that my mother wanted me to have that "family" have greedily determined that they should have a piece when they want .

well now no one gets anything .

That's horrible. So sorry to hear. I went through a divorce almost 6 years ago and lost almost everything. Left with my car and whatever fit in my 5x8 utility trailer. It took a little while, but it is actually a freeing experience not having a bunch of material things to worry about. The things that are truly important will be more apparent.

I need the wagon done enough to pull thee trailer and pick up materials to finish up the renos.

Not a chance. New built in cabinets and furniture, after the renos and wagon resto. Yeah, odd is right. I used to be good at estimating project lengths, but the weather knocked all that to heck.

Tedy, The only stitches I get now is when my wife tells me a good joke... :rofl2:

OMG GN you just don't know what others are capable of doing. So sorry to hear about all your troubles. :(

There is a nice duplex for rent just down the street from us... I think the young couple that was there left in a hurry. They must have caused some damage in there because there has been repairs going on over the last few weeks. It a cute place I've been inside...awhile ago.

Hope things improve for you soon.

    :)
