What's wrong with that picture? ALL the American cars are too small.

Although it's a Saturday Evening Post cover, I'd bet the artist is either European, or French-Canadian. Not British, because it appears the cars are LHD (notice location of 'Stop' sign at top of hill).

Good point, considering the train car is an American design.

Santa's Village, near Lake Arrowhead, CA (San Bernardino mountains). It's been closed since 1998, but there's a new company that is working on it to make a new and better Santa's Village, hopefully going to re-open around August 1st.

Better not go driving in water that deep with some cars today that have their air intakes low, you'd destroy the engine.

I dealt with a hydrolocked Honda Civic once, that the owner drove into a huge puddle on the street; after pulling the plugs and changing the oil in the C/C, I cranked it, got the water out, put the plugs back in, and after several cranks, she fired right up! I then ran a compression test, and the low/high difference was still within spec! Tough little SOB.

I once backed my small boat and trailer into the river with my VW squareback. Forgot the engine is in the rear. It made a funny gurggling sound but I kept it running. Bbbbuuuurrrlllbbbbllllll!:biglaugh:

Long as it's the 'out' instead of the 'in' that's underwater, you're doing OK.

IIRC, this pic was taken in the San Fernando Valley section of Metropolitan Los Angeles. Prior to a lot of storm drain construction, the valley was notorious for flooding in it's southern areas. The 'floor' of the SFV was mostly flat, but it slanted toward the south, so ALL the run-off from rain storms would end up down at that end with nowhere to go......
