Wow, that's amazing. If I were a collector, I'd be all over that car!

A few of my friends have poor man's Grand Nationals (Regals) around here. Usually with a couple items of Grand Nash trim thrown on 'em.

Boy do I ever wish! I love my '77 Impala, but with the costs to fix her right now, I could just about buy that GNX wagon. Not saying I'd get rid of ol' Beastie, but I could have a decent running sleeper wagon to drive until I can afford a full restoration.(y)

I'm going to post that up in the Auctions, etc. section.

    Thanks, Impalawagon77!

No problem! If I wasn't completely broke, I would definitely want to buy it for myself.

In the eighties, the Connecticut state troopers drove Grand Nationals.

I live on 88th Street. It's been a while since I took ol' Beastie out for a spin, but it's very possible you saw her at some point. I used to live in Everett on Bedrock Drive (Near Glenwood Avenue), and briefly in North Everett on Nassau street. Before all the transmission trouble and other things that have happened as a result, she was my daily driver. Sadly, right now she won't even start.

Actually, I bought a brand new 86 Choo Choo El Camino that had a 3.8 turbo in it from the factory right off the showroom floor in Long Beach Ca. I was looking for a Grand National which I never could find when a dealer showed me the El Camino. I snatched it right up and drove it for 6 years until I was sideswiped by a garbage truck in Glendale. Nothing could be salvaged. Not even the motor. I miss that truck.

Beach City Chevrolet on Pacific Coast Highway, or Harbor Chevrolet on Cherry Ave. near the Douglas Aircraft plant?
