    Very film noir-ish!

I was carrying the ransom money in my suitcase when two guys jumped out of a 50 Chevy and took it from me.

...as instructed, I left the bar and crossed the street. The sidewalk was nearly deserted in the heavy rain. But she was there, right where the informant had said she would be. She wore an angora sweater that clung to every curve of her body in the heavy rain. Her makeup was running a little, but it was clear she was attractive under the wet streaks of eye shadow streaming down her cheeks. As she approached, she handed me the bag, and in an instant she had disappeared from view as I continued walking. I could hear her soggy footsteps diminish behind me. I fought the urge to steal a glance at her from behind. That would have to wait and I was certain I hadn't seen the last of her. I suspected the Lincoln convertible I had parked behind was hers. She was just the type of broad to drive a big yellow convertible like that. Classy, yet a little rough around the edges. The matter at hand was the bag. What was in the bag, and why was it so important that the transfer be so clandestine? At some point I would have to turn and walk back. I had already walked past the Plymouth wagon I had parked on the street before entering the bar. But, I wouldn't be going back to the car until I got a good look at the contents of that bag.

That's amazing! The building even looks pretty much the same. Even the one next door seems to have the same shape. According to their website they opened in 1892

I didn't see the original photo. Or didn't go back far enough.
