    Your restore

Man I feel like such a poser I went out and bought a beautiful long roof last August and put a bunch of money into her.
Today she is getting new front disk brakes! Imagine what that will feel like when she stops? I will be dreaming about that tonight. Rosie will be ready tomorrow.
Next stop airbags in the springs.

My point is that most of you all really know your **** and how to get it done.
I wish I had some time to invest by spending some quality time with a good mechanic.

Thanks for the pics! Best of luck on your work of art. :1st::rofl::2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Lots of work ahead. Great start. Wish I could find a low mileage GM engine like that.
I told my wife I need a garage like yours. Then I noticed it's already full. Never enough room for all the junk!:slap:

Are you chopping the roof? Or just replacing it?

I wondered about that. With all the work already involved I'd go ahead and chop it.

No matter how big you make it, it is never big enough.
I got lucky finding that motor on craigslist, thought it was too good to be true.

I agree. I only like chopped tops on mostly the boxy old cars that do sit too high. Always liked the chopped 49-51 Mercurys till I sat in a few.
Chopping a station wagon would not be a good idea. Altho 4X8 panels and 2X4's would still fit.
I remember when we moved in Illinois to a 26X28 garage. Man that was large... till I parked 4- cars in it. Ended up adding a stall out behind.
Then same when we moved to Florida. I packed 4- cars in a 2 1/2 car garage.
Those things sure shrink over time.
Now moving to a place with a 20X20 garage. Gonna sell almost everything and keep only two old cars.
I've always wanted something like an airplane hanger! But my name is not Leno!

My shop is 30x50, but i added an office and a fab area. Right now I can only fit 3 cars, but I do have enough room on my property to add on in the future.:thumbs2:
