Hello guys. I'd thought I'd cruise on by and say hello and upload a few pics of how my project is going.

Long story short, around september of last year, I ran into a little hiccup and BOTH of my wagons were off the road until just a couple weeks ago. As it stands, only the Vista Cruiser is on the road, but with a repair I'll need to address soon enough. But....

At least it's on the road as a 442 Vista Cruiser. (disclaimer: clone) While it was down, I installed the 442 grilles and badges AND a nice pair of bumper guards. In addition to that, I got a new stoneshield and headlight housings. The paint on those didn't come out just right, and I'm not sure if I'm ok with that or if I'll just wait until next year when I paint the whole darn thing copper.

    Copper.

What do yall think about that? I've seen a pic of a copper Vista Cruiser with 442 grilles on google images and it is just so fine to me. Copper all the way. No woodgrain any more, and no hood stipes. Just solid copper.

Anyway, my next project is doing the upholstery on the back panels. The guy who had the car before me taped over the old stuff with nasty vinyl tape and after months of searching fabric shops, I finally found a color close enough to match VERY close.

So, here are a few recent pics of the car AFTER installing the grilles and stuff.

The first pic is in front of a burned out building in Old town Slidell.
The Second pic is taken off Hwy 90 in the marshes towards Mississippi.
The third pic is taken from a very picturesque spot on a road called Bayou Paquet near where I live.
The fourth pic be a picture of yours truly on Mardi Gras day at my favorite hangout spot.

And that fifth pic is the only pic I have found of that copper colored Vista Cruiser I was talking about. I'd LOVE to get opinions on that one. I DO intent on getting the OAI hood as well to complete my project.

    See yall around!

    Buz

Looks good to me. Not all cars, possibly newer ones, would look good in copper but that wagon you showed looks great I think. (y)
