    This reminds me of a story a friend of mine (who worked for GD--Convair Kearney Mesa in San Diego) told me: when the original B-36 was built, all Air Force bombers at the time only had one wheel per each main oleo, so the B-36's main gear exerted so much ground pressure, there were only two runways in the Western Hemisphere that could handle the bomber. I don't remember the East Coast one, but the West Coast one was San Diego's Lindbergh Field (now San Diego International), so the bomber's main gear had to be rebuilt as 4-wheeled gear to be accommodated at SAC bases.

    BOMK they never made a Toronado wagon, but would like to see the details of that concept/conversion since they was FWD.

    Where I got it from it said it was a GM styling study, that one of the guys brought home one day.
    Said later on it ended up with a plow on the front of it for clearing snow. ​
