When I cruised the dealer lots in '65/'66, I don't think I ever saw a '427' on a big Chevy fender. Lots of '396''s though.

Did you know that the MYSTERY motor Smokey Yunick ran in NASCAR was a W-head 427 like the 348 & 409? I actually knew somebody that had one when I was stationed in ND.

I know of a totally stock 67 Impala Wagon with 427/T400 that the guy won't part with in NW NC.:banana:

Load of '55 Mercuries didn't make it to the dealer.

 

I wonder why..... Ya think Dodge may have had something to do with it being a rival....... trash 4 Mercs and only trash 1 dodge truck?
