Well, guys...we discussed this rust bucket before and we couldn't believe that the reserve was not hit at $3600 and change. I can't believe anyone BID that high! Well...it's back again...4th time I believe. I hope the owner isn't a member here because I just gotta say it...the guy is brain dead for not taking that money and running as fast as possible! Take a look at the listing THIS time....

Is this guy on drugs? And is it just me or is half the di-noc missing off the sides, not to mention completely off the tailgate. It has an okay interior, but all buicks do, but that's about all it has going for it.

Turned down $3600, bad medication maybe? That interiour is real nice and I HATE tan. That would be a $500 car where I live......but not my $500 car:D

If some one offered me $3600 for mine I would buy this ASAP

The car's mileage is misrepresented and it's a rust bucket. I can't believe this guy. That's ebay for you now days.

Gotta love the pictures that show he just gave it a full detail for retail. Also gotta love that description that says it has "minor surface rust that is not through." The only reason that the rust is not through is because no one has touched the car. I can only wonder how much bondo there is under that paint where the wood paneling once was. Not to mention the professional rust repair job under the doors. With ebay, nothing suprises me anymore.

When I first saw this one on the E-bay thumbnail photo, I thought it might be a good one. The guy is sure doing his darndest to pass it off as such, though. What a heap..........

At least now he posted a "buy it now" price.

What was that latin phrase...caveate emptor or something like that. People mis-represent all the time. Pills to make certain organs bigger:evilsmile:, energy drinks that only dangerously raise blood pressure:49:, etc. etc.

The buyer has to do his/her due diligence before the purchase.

I think my car is worth around $4,000. Reality tells me it's marketable for much less based on condition and emotionless value. :biglaugh:

I never liked how the wood curved around this edge on these wagon's!

Did you notice the painted black bottoms of the doors to hide the rust?

It might have been redone at some point because I don't think it looks that bad from the factory does it?

My original vinyl had a seam on that corner. It looked like they had a really finepoint vinyl weld on it. I guess a person could do it with a hot knife edge. A soldering gun with a rheostat to get the heat under 300 degrees, something like that.

Look how incredibly pitted the tailight chrome is in Clark's pic! The whole car is rusted. And the wood is cut off all over the place. This ad may be atypical of ebay to some degree but if these things were NOT readily visible to us...what would happen if you were the high bidder and went to pick this car up without knowing what it is?? And, almost all the sellers state..."If you are high bidder you BOUGHT it. No tire kicking or test drive. High bidder owns the car by contract, etc, etc" Well....bullsh!t....I WILL walk away from any car that has been misrepresented like this one. Period.

I noticed that too, but I thought GM had moved to plastic bezels by then. So I just wrote it off to bad electroplating.

Andy and I were out by the local Junkyards. This guy is a tough bird to get a hold of, but his prices aren't lunar. He quoted me $1250 for a 1982 Ford LTD II (LX) in running condition, two years ago. I restored mine, but he's got a few wagons. The shots are from outside the fence, and nobody was around (11 AM yesterday). Area code is 204.

    Electroplate or not...that's salt damage.
Hey, Normy....that looks like a fun place. Looks like you could find a lot of good parts there. Maybe even a good starter car.
