Nicely done. The cars don't have to be perfect looking to be fun and driven, it is nice when they are but heck, they are used, usually hard in their first lives. Many times I've started with getting the car running, then drive the heck out of it until time/budget and desire all conspire to motivate me to finish what I'd started. Too often people wait so long to get their car on the road that they either lose interest, their health goes to heck, or the costs escalate as prices go up constantly and it is hard to keep up. So drive it, have great fun, it does look pretty neat just the way it is.

I just caught up on these 2 threads on the Satellite, it looks great! And Buzz on the front doesn't look too bad himself! (y)

Thanks! we were actually looking for one that we could just strip and slowly do a custom resto mod with. But then when found out that all the interior was original and for the most part the exterior was original, we decided if the first and only owner didn't butcher it, then who are we to do it. The more we cleaned it and polished it, the better it looked. So for now, we love the character of all the battle scars she has shooing off all the years of faithful service. We even love the weathered look of the wood grain.

I have a 71 custom (9 pass) 383 car, that needs restoration. I bought a green 73 custom (6 pass) 318 for riding around in, ended up selling it. So, now my focus is on the 71. It needs both fenders, hood, tailgate, front bumper, and some metal from the drivers side b pillar, I also need an engine/ firewall harness. Parts are hard to find for a good price, and I am patient. But I am itching to start on this car

it sounds like the guy in Fairmount probably has everything you need... only problem is, he's not ultra cheap. might actually be better if you can find a 71 donor car.

the 72 out in WGA is on craigs list and has the left fender, a pillar and the back end.

not sure how much he would let all that go for... I bought the hood and fender from him so they are gone.

Great pics...I am so jealous!!! In your original post you said you were looking for the 1974....that's the same one my Dad had and if I find it first :)

Looks like you've done a great job cleaning the old girl up.

Thanks and Yeah, we were looking for a 74 custom with a blue interior because that's what my dad had when I was a kid and I grew up in the back seat traveling all over the eastern half of the country. I even got my license in that big girl!

But when we saw this one and the fact that it was a one owner and with so much originality, we had to have it.

Your car is looking great. What a difference from the first photos of the car to the most recent. I appreciate that you are leaving it alone and not moding the heck out of it. It certainly has a lot of character. It's amazing what a little elbow grease can do. Congrats, enjoy the heck out of it and keep us updated on it.

Well thanks. I owe most of the Fury's condition to my Grandfather's excellent maintenance followed by my Dad's excellent maintenance and the two of them teaching me about excellent maintenance and Ma MOPAR for building a car that could stand up to a knucklehead teenager (yours truly) who drove it like he had stolen it anytime any of his friends (who had Mustang's and Firebirds) gave him the business about driving a station wagon. I see all of the folks who are bringing old stuff back from the dead and am grateful I got a car that never stopped being used as daily transportation for more than 40 years. All I had to do was add Gas and make sure there was oil in the motor and air in the tires.

Thanks again for sharing your story and your car with us. It's a beauty and I'm glad you and your family are enjoying it.
