Yeah, it amazes me. I showed these to my dad and even he was like, yeah the look like they were washed before the photos. lol. I mean where are all of the leaves from the previous fall at? On my cars they will stay there on a car I have not driven unless I knock them all off and like you said, turn green, etc. My cars get moss on them after setting awhile, but we have a lot of trees and being in the southeast, a lot of humidity year round. I guess the weather makes all of the difference, but this really does not appear to be like a desert or anything, but obviously a place with lower humidity. lol. Where was this exactly?

Those were amazing cars. I am not sure what engine it has, but the 460 (which I think was optional in those my 1977) was a real workhorse. We had a '76 Town Car back in the late 80s that my dad bought off of a friend. It had 326K miles when we bought it in 1988. We easily put another 150K or so on it before giving it to my grandmother in 1992. Grandpa sold it to an older lady for $200 in 1992 and I have not saw the car since. I am sure it ended up in a scrap yard and long gone.

The yard where I took those photos is located near Cardinal Ontario about an hours drive south of Ottawa. Maybe there is an upside to being buried in snow for several month of the year.:)

Also helps to keep the trees under control. Here are some that are on a farm. There are close to 200 vehicles that were put there in the 60's. Most are completely hidden by the forest.

    Ahha! That explains it! :)

Our cars are covered with snow for about 1-2 hours if that most of the time down here. lol. If we have an unusually heavy snow, about 2-3 days, it is gone. :)

This '71 Newport sedan has set for less than ONE YEAR in this spot in the woods of NE Tennessee... lol. This is about right. He said the was parked there last summer and these pics were taken in the spring of this year.

I want to rescue all of these and bring them back to life. It must be something wrong with me. The way some folks want to take in and help all the cats and dogs, I want to do the same thing with cars. So many of them are working, moving works of art.

Awhile back both here and the HAMB there were a lot of pictures of abandoned cars in Washington State or Oregon. Reminds me of there.

Imagine all the spiders and snakes wandering around. :slap:
