    Not surprising. Like you said, some recall the good old family days, others figure that their 4,400 lb hybrid is more efficient. Cost per mile tells a different story.

    You'll have to dig out the old factory Break-In period guidelines they used to hand out to new owners, for your wife ;). Don't recall if they were in the Owner's manual or not. My 1968 Parklane had a seperate booklet about it with the warranty service record.

    That first ride is always awesome after a big restoration, isn't it? :yippee:

    Ya know Doc I've gotten the same feedback. I have gotten a few quotes for the paint and body work for my wagon and some shops are like "why do you want to mediablast?...it's just a wagon" and then they start telling me about their 1 of not many Chevelle's project. Sure I love to hear a good story about a restoration, but don't bash my project. Needless to say they are not getting my business. One shop owner was pretty excited because his Mom had the exact same wagon growing up so he knew all about it.

    Your project is coming along great! Thanks for sharing the new photos. They are what keeps us on the other end going. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

    Once the engine is run and all looks good, we are going to test drive the car as it sits without a front clip. We put a 2x6 across the front to mount the battery, radiator and other electrical components to. I will be sure to get some videos of the whole process. It should be interesting to say the least!

    We are going to test drive the car early next week so I will be sure to post that too. Next is all new front suspension, then back to body shop for final body assembly. I am really hoping to have the car street legal by July.

    I love the radiator/battery/solenoid support along with the anti-freeze overflow tank.

    That anit-freeze overflow tank is actually the fuel tank. We have been unable to put the restored fuel tank in the car since we lost the original tank strap. They are few and far between in junk yards and virtually impossible to find. After 4 months of searching, I looked under the front seat and there it was. So we plan to install the fuel tank in next.
