This is cool. The smoke from the burnout has got to be because of a V8.

    X2(y), unless it's all wheel drive:p

We have talked about these Brazilian Maverick wagons before, dealership made and only 200'ish were made. Would be neat to have one. Ford of Brazil also kept the small bumper look until the last year of production in 79 where as North American mavericks by then had the gaudy huge 5mph bumpers. From what I remember, the wagons were 1977 models as the tail light design (brazil only) came out for the 77 model year.

Oops! I do that, now and again; All I saw was smoke and the car a bit askance, making me think it was peeling out. I looked more closely and saw all 4 smoking. And no, I don't think Ford of Brazil would've followed AMC's Eagle.

Reminds me of the scene in "The World's Fastest Indian," where the Ranchero and the Merc wagon are pacing Burt Munro and he leaves them in the dust. The ranchero definitely was a '58 and the wagon ('Turnpike Cruiser?') was either a '58 0r '59. I wanted them both and the hot blonde Munro befriends. I went looking for pics of them but there were none that I could find.
